So this news letter has come slightly earlier than normal and that's because we're getting slightly closer the opening date so I really need to start getting things in order!

So I want to start off by saying thank you so much for supporting me over the last 3 and more years!

I've loved working with you all to get your hair exactly where we want it!

As you know I am incredibly passionate about styling and I am always going on courses to update my skills and knowledge and looking into the latest vegan & cruelty free products being the magpie I am to ensure that I can maintain the health of your hair whilst offering you a  beautiful end result!

Whilst off I’ve completed a Vidal sassoon cutting course. A 1:1 advanced highlighting techniques course showing me 25 different ways to personalise colour to help a softer regrowth. A colour corrections course to give me additional knowledge to fix all of your dodgy box dye disasters I’ve seen- mentioning no names!

because of my investment of time and money into my training to always be able to offer you the best possible hair service, I am now looking to increase my prices as from 4th July  to be in line with a stylist of my 16 year experience.

I had intended to do this inline with the new tax year but as sadly, we were unable to be in the salon to implement it in.

List of my new prices...

All colour prices listed WILL NOT have a finish included in this.

A cut and blow dry is  £44

Blow dry £27

Partial foils £40

Third of foils £50

Half head foils £70

Full head foils £ 90

Full head tint £55

Root tint £32

Toner £20

Having time off in lock down really helped me take a step back and look at my business constructively. Having a business advisor  in to look at my business. I’d seen I’d majorly under priced some services.

For the time quality of products and colours I was using and the additional things I was providing it just wasn’t covering my cost.
I felt a little embarrassed when I looked over how wrong I’d got it!

So some of the price increases may not affect some people at all but others it will feel quite significant- this is the reason why.

However I will be still offering 10% off on my over 60 clients on Tuesday!

As part of my price increase I am excited to offer you a more enjoyable and relaxed experience in a safe 1:1 environment.

I’ve been soooo excited to tell you this!! The salon is being completely revamped as we speak and it’s going to look amazing!!! I’ll be offering posh cups of teas and coffee Cappuccino anyone? Mini samples of products to take away after appointments. Positive reading material for the salon (the happy newsletter). popcorn while colours are developing. Beautiful new high end products along side Kevin Murphy which smell like a summers day!  A better sound system and the most beautiful non toxic hand wash and candles burning!

If you’re wanting to chat to me on options how we could find a different way of styling or colouring it to leave longer between appointments to help with the increase please email me and We can talk through options!

I’ve absolutely loved helping you and hope I can continue to do so if this is the case!

If you are unsure what your new price will be or have any questions, i'd love to hear from you.

Otherwise I look forward to getting my hands on your hair. Putting all this additional training to good use!

So for this Monday..

What changes are happening in the salon

Consultations via whattsapp

Thinking of a complete image change?

Please email me if you would like to go ahead with your appointment and I will work through the list I have in priority of booking order from the 19th of June. I'm leaving it so late as we'll have more knowledge of PPE.

I opened up the salon in 2017 on international women's day! I had £5000 to do the salon up! (My grandad had passed away and this was the money I used in doing it up!)

I went into my own savings as well I remember being so nervous about doing it all up and thinking how will EVER!  Make this money back! Say if no-one comes to me! ?

Although I loved it I never really felt like it was a true representation of me.

The vintage furniture in the shop as much as I loved it just didn't feel like the shop represented me! I'd pick up things from the charity shop and constantly swapped it out because I never really loved it!

I love order and anyone that visited my previous home knows I don't really like things out on the side!  ( this new home i'm in needs starting again! - harder with a toddler running around)

Having time off I decided with my help of my Dad and Husband that maybe now was the time to get the salon how I wanted!
So thats exactly what they've been doing last weekend just gone.
so this picture is a sneak peak of whats to come!

There's going to be plenty of storage it's going to feel so much neater everything is going to match!
I really feel this time this is a true representation of me as a person!

I can't wait to show you all!!

(Here's a picture of the famous palm leaf wallpaper that's been taken off! )

I'm just going to talk to you so far what I know for definite i'm not going to scare you with PPE because the answer is I don't really know the situation with it as of yet regarding you wearing masks etc! - my preference is you don't but we'll see what BJ comes out with nearer to the opening date. I am looking daily at the hairdressing governing body for updates on this! Soon as I know I will let you know!

So going forward the quickest way to get through all of you would be to contact you via whatsapp or email just on my list alone I have 100 of you to get through and that's not including clients who are not on the waiting list! Yikes!

My plan is to contact you find out what you would like to do with your hair look at your regrowth and what you want doing devise a plan if it's a colour correction give you a price.Work out a time so no-ones appointments are overlapping.

For every service I will be taking a £20 deposit.

I will be taking the deposits as I can't afford to lose money from no shows and to be completely transparent with you helps with a cash flow point of view to get up and running as I will not have a surplus of cash and have the capacity to take as many clients in the salon with the restrictions.

I will give you the option to book in with myself as I know some of you are so eager to get your hair done!

I will be working:

Tuesday,Thursday,Friday& Saturday

Now i've gone through the boring stuff how about the enjoyable stuff?

Lets be honest this Covid-19 has been a bit of a shit actually!

When your hair doesn't feel right you just don't feel right!

Having roots can really make you feel so grubby!

Since you've now got the root regrowth have you thought about keeping your grey? Enhancing it?

Want to get away from full head highlights but want to try a foliage or balayage ?

Nows the time beauties to think about that pixie crop you've always wanted cutting that excess colour off the ends and exposing your natural colour!

Short hair is going to be a massive trend!

No pressure to do any of this just ideas! If you want your usual highlights or root tint thats absolutely fine.

Please be prepared for a longer appointment time when you do come back to the salon your usual 3 hours sat in the chair maybe 4 because of the length of your roots and hair it will take much longer to work through!

I want you to know that i'm going to ensure you have the very best experience in the salon I can provide you with the restrictions in place.

Next positive newsletter will be out next Friday and i'll hopefully be able to show you more progress made on the salon!

Summary

We will start contacting you from the 19th June via WhatsApp or email to have a consultation.

We will then start booking you in from the date of the 4th July.

We will keep you updated about any news in the salon.
